Visit exhibition ‘Cultural Connections’ and a hands on artist-led workshop at the museum inspired by the artists work in the show.
Detailed Description
• Students will be able to record primary research as part of their ongoing coursework project, through taking photographs, written observations and a reflective response to the work. This will be presented in their sketch book.
• Student will learn new textile techniques via an Artist workshop.
• Student will explore connections, communities and cultures across time through meaningful learning, creativity and dialogue
Itinerary
· 9.30am Meet students at the front of College, repeat plan for the day and take register
· 9.40am Depart in Mini bus
· 10.00am Students arrive.
· 10.00am – 11.30am Explore the exhibitions and museum Exhibition walk through with SAW staff and artist Luan MacDonald
· 11.30am-12pm - Lunch Break
· 12pm-2pm - Needle felting workshop
· 2.30pm Departure Mini Bus back to Strode College
