Level 3 Protective Service students are going to Port Elizabeth, South Africa to volunteer for the 'United Through Sport' charity.

The charity looks to educate and inspire children within the deprived township areas. The students will support within the local community, supporting with upgrading learning environments for deprived children. They will develop their protective service knowledge with visits to Police and Fire Stations.

Alongside this, the students will also support maths and English in the classrooms, further developing their leadership skills. Lastly, they will also have the opportunity to experience some of the African culture.

The cost for the trip is £2300.00 and can either be paid in full or in instalments as follows:

Deposit - £600.00 paid by 28/08/26

Instalment 1 - £850.00 paid by 27/11/26

Instalment 2 - £850.00 paid by 29/01/27

Full Payment - £2300.00 paid by 28/08/26

A 3-day residential trip to the Mendip Activity Centre for the Taunton College Level 3 first year Uniformed Protective Services & Sport students

The students will take part in outdoor activities including Battle Archery, Rifle Shooting, Disc Golf, Night Orienteering and Axe Throwing. All activities will allow students to develop their skill sets in climbing, water and target sport.

The residential is a fantastic opportunity to team build and bond with peers and tutors.

The payment of £250.00 can either be paid in full by 16 September 2026, or a deposit of £125.00 to be paid by 16 September 2026 followed by a further instalment of £125.00 to be paid by 9 October 2026.
